Sephora Color IQ

With technology always improving, it appears that it just might revolutionized the cosmetic industry! Firstly, this is a God given gift and I am extremely excited that this gadget exist ! Sephora is proud to announce their Color IQ device. So what exactly is it ? Well, it is a device that pretty much takes a picture of your skin, the device distinct features allows it to provide accuracy when trying to determine  the right foundation for YOU. How many times did the fate of your foundations land in someones hand, to finally go home and realize that the departments stores lighting made you buy a foundation five shades lighter ! 

But it doesn't stop there, once you are matched you are given a color code (see picture above) additionally it provides a list of all the brands and products that correspond to you. Sephora now is integrating their color code in all the cosmetic brands they carry. So you are no longer walking around, with a color code in hand and playing the guessing game in the store. Speaking to a cast member in the she did tell me the product line up varies. Considering the customization of the product to your skin, sometimes you may not have such a broad selection  (depending on you skin type of coarse). Don't be bummed though, there is PLENTY of options in Sephora.
Unfortunately I didn't have the time to get color IQ, but I was able to round up a lot of information. The  cast members are extremely friendly and are able to walk through the process with you. So run to Sephora and stop guessing your foundation!

If you arrive with makeup they will wipe it off clean, so it's probably best to go au natural!
